Launch of Automotive Grade Android

Automotive Grade Android (AGA) is an open source initiative with the purpose to support an open innovation global eco-system for in-vehicle software and services. The public launch of AGA will take place at the Innovation Bazaar.

The automotive industry is in a transfer from a mechanical industry to an industry with increasing content of electronics and software. This is not only a technical challenge. Keynote speaker Markus Granlund, CEO Semcon, will give his view about how barriers may be opportunities, and obstacles in the renewal of the automotive industry. Semcon is active in this change and has been top-three finalist in every innovation contest hosted by Vehicle ICT Arena, so far.

Big Data and Systems of systems are two dynamic areas attracting a lot of interest. SICS Swedish ICT will present state-of-the-art.

Electronics, software and communication as an area within the research and innovation program FFI is growing. Representatives from Volvo Cars, Volvo Group and Scania will present the roadmap for the area and short-term opportunities for collaboration in the program.

The Innovation Bazaar on September 4 is a unique opportunity to hear about the plans and to find partners to join this global race for innovation to the benefit of traffic safety and sustainable mobility.
